Does God Exist?

God does exist. We only need to observe a single movable object in order to prove God's existence as First Cause. This is known as the Unmoved Mover argument. Many atheists will admit the conclusion that there is a First Cause but will not admit that anything can be known about the First Cause. But much can be known about the First Cause based on deduction. For example, the First Cause is proven to be eternal, all-powerful, immaterial, etc. The only difficulty in proving this is on the behalf of the student who wishes to have each proposition proved. There are many proofs that come after the proof for the First Cause and these proofs show what we can know about the First Cause using natural reason alone. This, however, is a serious time investment. Memorizing the proof of each attribute is akin to memorizing mathematical proofs. The better method is to research any attribute that seems doubtful or contradictory.

AN ANALOGY: There is a rigorous mathematical proof that 2 and 2 do, in fact, equal 4. However, the mathematical proof of 2+2=4 is very complicated. In order to understand it, you must already know a lot about math. Ironically, in order to reach comprehension of the proof, you must have already taken for granted at some point that 2+2=4. Likewise, the proof for God's existence is difficult even for believers to understand. Some believers even contradict Scripture (Rom 1:20) and claim that God's existence cannot be proven (this is due to their intellectual pride...i.e. if they cannot understand the proof, no one can. Therefore, I will present a small outline of the proof without going into every rigorous detail. Yet, if the detail is here if needed.

EXPLANATION: Nothing changes itself but is changed by another. Either that other is changing thing as well or it is not. If it is not, then we found our unchanging changer, our unmoved mover, first cause...i.e. God. If that other is a changing thing, then it's change again depends on another, and so on to infinity - OR NOT. Either we can go onto infinity or we cannot. We cannot. Therefore, there must be an unchanging changer that we call God.
